Department of Administrative Services

• Determine and manage the council's needs for purchases and services and set the necessary specifications for them in coordination with the concerned departments and include them in the council’s annual budget project.
• Receiving the items, properly storing them, following up the movement of these items, meeting the needs of the administrative units thereof, and maintaining and verifying the records and books of the Covenant following the applicable laws and regulations.
• Establishing plans, programs and maintenance arrangements for the council's buildings, furniture and equipment, and taking procedures to conclude maintenance and cleaning contracts related thereto.
• Follow up on communication services, electricity, water, air conditioning, lighting and the rest of the services necessary for the safety and efficiency of work in the council, and follow up the payment of these services costs.
• Develop safety and security plans and follow up on their implementation.
• Supervising the workers and the bedding and distributing them to the organizational divisions of the council by the work needs and requirements.
• Take the necessary measures to allocate government housing to Council employees and exchange the furniture allowance in coordination with the relevant authorities.
• Carry out all work related to visas and residence for non-Qatari employees of the Council.
• Receive, classify and record incoming and outgoing mail, organize the council archive and store documents according to the most recent methods.
• Carry out photocopying, packaging and issuing personal cards to the Council.
