Coordination and Follow-up Committee

Following the council of ministers Resolution No. (34) for the year 2001, the committee is concerned with organizing, coordinating, and following-up actions between the council, other ministries, and government agencies, public authorities and institutions, and in particular the following:

1. Expressing an opinion on topics of common interest that fall within the competence of the Central Municipal Council with other government agencies.
2. Facilitate access to information, studies, and reports related to its terms of reference from ministries and other entities.
3. Follow-up decisions and recommendations issued by the Central Municipal Council.
4. Coordination between the Central Municipal Council and ministries and other government agencies in the study of topics of common interest.

The Coordination and Follow-up Committee set forth in Article (11) of Law No. (12) for the year 1998 referred to is formed, as follows:

1. Five representatives from the Central Municipal Council, among whom shall be the Chairman and Vice-Chairman of the Committee.
2. Four representatives from the Ministry of Municipalities and the Environment.
3. A representative of the Ministry of Interior.
4. A representative of the Ministry of Economy and Trade.
5. A representative of the Ministry of Public Health.
6. A representative of the Ministry of Communications and Ministry of Transportation.
7. A representative of the Qatar General Electricity and Water Corporation.
8. A representative of the Public Works Authority.

Each body selects its representative as a member of the committee, and a decision is issued by the Chairman, Vice-Chairman and members of the committee nominated by the Minister of Municipal and Environment

The Secretary-General of the Central Municipal Council shall be the decision of the committee.
