Mr. Muhammad bin Hamad Al-Atan, Vice-President of the Central Municipal Council, received Ms. I Tendai Ashiyumi, the Special Rapporteur on contemporary forms of racism, racial discrimination, xenophobia and related intolerance, of the United Nations Human Rights Council, at the headquarters of the Municipal Council.
The meeting witnessed a review of the efforts of the State of Qatar to support workers' rights and to ensure the provision of various forms of care and legal protection of their rights.

Mrs. Ashiyumi also learned about the democratic experience of the municipal council, the participation of citizens in electing members, and the most important reports and recommendations issued by the council in the areas of support for workers' rights.
During the meeting, several issues of common concern and ways of strengthening relations were also discussed.

Mrs. "Ashiyoumi" praised the good meeting and the warm reception and praised the recommendations and reports issued by the Council in the field of support and care of workers, wishing the country more success and success.
The meeting was attended by members of the Council Muhammad bin Salem Al-Qamra, Abdul Rahman bin Abdullah Al-Khulaifi, Muhammad bin Dhafer Al-Hajri, Ali bin Muhammad Al-Muhandi, Rashid bin Mubarak Al-Kaabi.
